Abul Fazl
was deputed to carry out the Deccan campaigns but Akbar had to call him back in
the capital due to Salim’s revolt. On the way back home he was killed by Vir
Singh Bundela on the instruction of Prince Salim, hence his book Akbarnama
contains the record up to A.D. 1602, the year of his assassination. Taqmeel
Akbarnama is a supplementary book of Akbarnama. It was written by
Inayatullah and translated by Charles in English.
