The book Futuhat-i-Alamgiri was
written by Mehta Isar Das who was a Mughal officer in the district of Jodhpur
for a long time. This work contains some significant events of the reign of
Aurangzeb up to 1698. It also throws ample light on the provincial rule of
Malwa and Rajputana.
