  Kitab-ul-Yamini or Tarikh-i-Yamini

It was written by a famous author, Utbi, who was among the personal staff of Sultan Mahmood Ghaznavi, hence he had forst-rate knowledge of his life and works. This book is a fine piece of Arabic. Abul Sharaf Jarbazkani translated it into Persian and its English version was made by James Reynolds from Persian. He has described the events of the reign of Mahmood up to A.D. 1020.
